Welcome to Pathfinders Cymru
Pathfinders Cymru is a grassroots, community-led charity supporting children and young people with learning challenges, neurodiversity, and additional needs.
We believe every young person deserves a space where they feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. That’s why we create inclusive spaces and interest-led activities designed to reduce isolation, build confidence, and celebrate strengths — not labels.
We reject all forms of segregation. Our activities are open to everyone — creating shared spaces where young people with and without learning challenges can connect, build friendships, and grow in mutual understanding and respect.
From sensory spaces and skill-building workshops to supported volunteering and enterprise projects, our work is shaped by lived experience and rooted in community.
Together, we’re building a future where meaningful inclusion is not the exception — it’s the norm.

Our Mission
At Pathfinders Cymru, our mission is to ensure that children and young people with learning challenges — including neurodiversity, anxiety, and Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) — are fully included, valued, and celebrated within their communities.

We believe every young person brings unique talents and vibrant qualities that enrich society. Through inclusive activities and meaningful volunteering — from running community spaces like libraries and gardens to leading social clubs and cooking groups — we create opportunities for all children and young people to come together, share experiences, and build lasting connections.

Whether through partnerships with schools or collaboration with home-educating families, we work to dismantle the barriers that keep young people with learning challenges isolated, marginalised, or excluded from community life.

We are working toward a future where inclusion is the norm — a society so equitable and accepting that organisations like Pathfinders Cymru are no longer needed.
