We have had amazing gardening club sessions this year, thanks to our awesome new volunteer and trustee Martin. So amazing we have been so busy that we have forgotten to write about them! Here's Martin's latest update. Hope to see you all again in June - Erika.

"May’s gardening club might have been short on numbers, but was great fun as ever.

The younger participations sowed seeds for various fruit and flowers and helped tidy some of our raised beds. There was lots of watering of our flower beds to be done too –

who says Wales is always wet?

The two wooden planter frames in the pictures were provided to us in 2023 by Keep Wales Tidy and complement our various raised beds and the shelving units made by our carpentry club. We were visited this morning by Amy, one of Keep Wales Tidy’s Roving Officers to review how our garden was going and to assess its effect on biodiversity, connectivity with nature and its benefit for the local community.

We’re delighted to say that we’ve qualified for more help and have chosen to have a

bench to allow visitors to sit and admire the garden, as well as more compost and

plants to grow.

We’ve big plans to improve the garden and grow more, and invite you to come and

help. Our gardening club is held on the third Saturday of the month, making the next

one due from 1:30 on Saturday 21st June.

We look forward to seeing you then!" - Martin
